What does Miinz to Be mean?
It is a little play on words. It sounds like “Means to be”, which represents what is intended, what is natural, and what is meant to be.
When you dive into the Montessori philosophy, you realise that this is its absolute essence. It is about letting a child be exactly who they are. It is about creating the space for them to do, to experiment, and to grow at their very own pace, while we gently guide them along the way.
How the Journey Began
Like so many parents, it was becoming a mother that completely transformed my perspective. I fell deeply in love with the Montessori method. I didn’t take multiple training courses to change my career; I did it out of pure, passionate curiosity to better understand my own child.
But as I immersed myself in this world, I hit a massive roadblock that many parents face: accessing genuine educational tools was either incredibly complicated or exorbitantly expensive.
Bridging the Gap for Families
It is entirely true that you can practise Montessori at home without spending a fortune. But if you are like me (and not particularly gifted at DIY or making things with your hands), trying to handcraft every single material quickly becomes a stressful headache. And parenting should be a joy, not a chore.
I wanted to change that.
